Two weekends ago, October 4 and 5, we competed in the first Tier 1 tournament of the season at the Midwest Collegiate Championship in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Forty men's teams were at the tournament. The format for the event was 9 team games followed by 12 baker games.
Saturday consisted of 6 team games where we shot 6060. This great turnout put us into 4th place going into day two which consisted of the final 3 team games as well as 12 baker games. After the three team games, we were at 9017 pins and stay steady in the standings at 4th place. For the first two blocks of baker games, we kept steady scores and stayed with the field. Coming into that last block, we had some trouble and couldn't finish as strong as we would have liked. At the end of all scoring, we finished at 11310 pins which put us in 7th place.
Individually, we had several bowlers finish within the top 50. Zach Dohner finished in 15th with a 206.78 average with 1853 pins. Zach Weidman finished right behind him at 17th with 1853 pins. Kenton Williams finished in 26th with 1826 pins and finally, Rolando Sebelen finished in 32nd with 1816 pins.
Overall, this was a great first tournament of the season and we can't wait to share another amazing year with our friends and fans who devote so much time for us. We appreciate everything you do for us and we plan on leaving it all out on the lanes this year to prove it!
Our next tournament is October 11-12 in Indianapolis, IN for the Western Shootout, hosted by H2M Management, LLC.
